6 SA Margaritas To Help You Forget Your Post-Holiday Blues

Celebrate our warm Texas temps (and shake off those post-holiday blues) with one of San Antonio’s best margaritas!

The holidays are over, and while the rest of the country may be cupping hot toddies and mulled wine, we Texans have the luxury of sipping away our post-holiday blues the South Texas way: with salt (or sugar) on the rim.

Because you've probably already tried The Five Best Margaritas in San Antonio, here are 6 more local favorites!

1. La Margarita (Downtown San Antonio)

Located in Market Square (nicknamed “The Heartbeat of Mexico” in SA), La Margarita Restaurant & Oyster Bar does justice to its name. Try a fancy flavor like Pomegranate or Passion Fruit, or keep it traditional with a house marg.

2. Acenar (Downtown San Antonio)

Named “one of the largest and most innovative contemporary Mexican restaurants and bars on the River Walk,” Acenar boasts a signature Tuna Margarita made with silver tequila, orange liqueur, fresh lime, and prickly pear cactus juice. Yum!

4. El Jarro (North San Antonio)

“A San Antonio tradition for nearly 40 years”, El Jarro serves up a variety of margaritas, from Top Shelf to Mediterranean! All of their margaritas are made with freshly squeezed lime juice, available by the pitcher or glass.

5. Aldacos (Stone Oak)

Frozen avocado margarita? Yes, please! Known for their fresh, authentic fare and exquisite desserts,  Aldacos' crown jewel might just be its unique array of margaritas.

5. Burleson Yard Beer Garden (Dignowity Hill)

A pleasant surprise from a go-to beer spot, Burleson Yard offers a killer marg in a laid-back setting. Don't let the plastic cups fool you: this is the real deal!

6. Ocho Lounge (Downtown San Antonio)

With pan-Latin cultural influences from Mexico, Cuba, and Texas, the Ocho Lounge cocktail menu highlights best of both worlds. We recommend the Havana Margarita: 9 Blanco tequila, orange liqueur, lime, and agave. Classic.
