1. Take in Phantom of the Opera

A beloved classic in the theatre community, The Phantom of the Opera begins a 2-week stretch of performances at the Majestic Theatre this weekend. The show has been a mainstay of theater lovers everywhere for the past 20 years, with longstanding performance in both New York and London. In fact, the musical won a Tony for best musical, and is one of the highest grossing plays of all time. An added bonus, Storm Lineberger, a San Antonio native and Reagan High School graduate will be playing the role of Raoul. Don’t miss your chance to see one of the greatest musicals of a generation!

2. Experience a New Culture at Wurstfest

The New Braunfels tradition began in 1963 and has grown and improved with each year. The festival celebrates the spirit and traditions of Bavaria, including but not limited to food, song, and dance. The area is home to an abundance of “lost” maple trees known for their beautiful changing colors this time of year. 5. Take the Kids to America’s Got Talent Live

Tired of watching America’s Got Talent on television? This weekend the best acts come to San Antonio to perform in America’s Got Talent Live! While the performance is technically on Monday, it is too unique and entertaining to leave out! An All-Star cast of past acts will make the trip to the Tobin Center with the hopes of wowing the crowd. From impersonations, to dance, to comedy, the performance is sure to keep you laughing and on the edge of your seat!

This weekend, Cowboy’s Dancehall presents Extreme Bull Riding. No we aren’t talking about a mechanical bull, the dancehall actually will host live bulls and cowboys dueling against each other for an 8-second ride. 10. Be Competitive at The San Antonio River Relay

A clever idea, the relay is a modern twist on triathlon, with the bike/swim portion being combined into a 3-mile kayak race! After the kayak leg, competitors will run a 5k to complete the competition. Participants can compete solo or with a partner, the choice is up to you! The event is sure to be fun for all, and is a great excuse to get back outside, be active, and explore the San Antonio Mission Trail!
