One of the greatest benefits of living in San Antonio is the variety of “things” to see and do. In fact, there are so many San Antonio attractions and events on any given weekend that it can seem overwhelming to choose just one. In this series all pressure is off! Ten fun things to do in San Antonio will be chosen each week to make researching for the next Friday celebration, date night, or family outing a little more simple.
- 1. Show Your Patriotism with a Parade
The San Antonio Riverwalk is busy year round. Come downtown this Saturday for the Armed Forces Parade and watch as San Antonians show their patriotism through this parade featuring over twenty floats on the river. The decorated boats will drive by carrying all five branches of military personnel. Patriotic music will be played as each boat passes by, with the entire parade stretching about two and a half miles long! Even though Memorial Day weekend is still a week away, this parade is the perfect opportunity to celebrate early and get in on the patriotic spirit!
