Explore El Mercado

Be Amused with Modern Art
The McNay Art Museum, located in Alamo Heights, is the first modern art museum founded in the state of Texas. The collection of works in the museum includes Henri Matisse, Georgia O’Keeffe, Pablo Picasso, and Edward Hopper. The McNay’s rustic charm is another benefit to visiting, as the 23 acres of land includes gorgeous gardens and modern statues. There is also a quaint courtyard complete with a koi pond that is known as one of the loveliest spots in San Antonio.

Get Spooked on a San Antonio Ghost Tour
If you're interested in spooks, ghosts, and paranormal activity, the Alamo City Ghost Tour is for you. This tour covers thirteen different haunted locations such as hanging trees, cemeteries, and haunted hotels. Along with the spook factor, each tour guide thoroughly knows the history of the all locations to give a riveting and historic summary of each. Calling all Baseball fans! As Spring training returns to baseball, so does the H-E-B Big League Weekend. Come watch a MLB two game exhibition at the Alamodome March 18-19. Predicted to be a showdown of the season, catch the 2014 American League Champion Kansas City Royals battle our very own 2011 American League Champion Texas Rangers. After the game, stay and watch Texas country star and local favorite, Pat Green, and the Spazmatics for the post-game concert entertainment.
