Go green this weekend with Science Mill’s Trash to Treasure event! Create amazing works of art by recycling pieces of your trash (or use the materials provided). World famous artist McKay Otto will be leading this class and will be helping little ones create unique pieces of art that are special to them. Everyone has the ability to create something great! Unfortunately, space is limited for these classes so please sign up quickly! Don’t forget to bring in those newspapers and aluminum cans to create your art!

- 4. Shoot Hoops for Troops
This weekend, the San Antonio Stars are honoring active duty military members and veterans with their Hoops for Troops game. They will be playing against the Indiana Fever and are giving a 50% discount for those with a military ID. Even if you aren’t in the military, go to support the Stars during this game at the AT&T Center. It will also be $1 drink night and you won’t want to miss the fun of this sporting event! Come and watch as our ladies shoot hoops and support the troops!

Well-known artist, Louis Vega Trevino, has a beautiful painting called Northern Lights. Come challenge your “artist’s eye” at the Musical Bridges Around the World gallery as you reflect upon his painting while enjoying a glass of wine and appetizers. The complicated aspects of the art will be explained and this event presents itself as an educational opportunity for you to learn more about the features that contribute to a great work of art. Juneteenth is happening this weekend at Comanche Park! Come out Friday night and enjoy a good old-fashioned fish fry! Then, Saturday kicks off the true festival with live music, dancing, and activities in the park! It’s a great opportunity to be outside and relax with friends and family. For this event, local celebrities will be matched with a local dad so that they can create a grilled masterpiece for the judges to enjoy! Come and experience the heat that these dads are putting off! This event combines three favorite things into one awesome festival!
