In fact, there are so many San Antonio attractions and events on any given weekend that it can seem overwhelming to choose just one. In this series all pressure is off! Ten fun things to do in San Antonio will be chosen each week to make researching for the next Friday celebration, date night, or family outing a little more simple.

1.  Dance Your Way to the Majestic

There’s a new musical in town at The Majestic! Go downtown for the evening to see Kinky Boots as it is on tour from Broadway. The musical tells the story of Charlie Price and his journey in transforming an old shoe factory into something magical. 2.  Learn to Cook Under the Tuscan Sun

3.  Steam Up January with Salsa Class

Lessons are taught at Salon Mexico and offered at a beginner level. You don’t need to be a pro to participate in this fun activity. Turn up the heat (and the music) and learn to dance salsa this weekend to chase away those winter blues. Classes range from $3-$5.

4.  Stock Up on Winter Veggies at the Farmer’s Market

This weekend is forecast to bring sunny skies and warmer temperatures. Take advantage and spend some time shopping local veggies and products at the Pearl Brewery Farmer’s Market. The market hosts over 40 vendors and has things from homemade salsa to gourmet candies. Products are guaranteed to be fresh, local, and seasonal, so the market is constantly changing and bringing in new goodies for patrons to purchase or browse. Their guide for January/February says to expect vegetables such as kale, spinach, beets, Brussels sprouts, carrots, and many more. Bring your reusable bags and stock up!

5.  Get Extreme and Defy Gravity

Thin Air is open in San Antonio and allows you to experience extreme air sports. The facility has trampolines to challenge your flipping skills, an air dunk court so that you can dribble and dunk like Tim Duncan, a trapeze to allow you to sail and swing through the air, and so many more options. If you like to live on the edge or experience a thrill, Thin Air definitely has something to offer you. It is kid friendly and offers a low price of just $20 for two hours of guaranteed fun. Even if you don’t want to be too extreme, Thin Air has a foam pit, obstacle course, and dodge ball to provide a positive and fun experience for everyone involved.

6.  Indulge in Brunch at the Guenther House Downtown

The historical Guenther House offers a variety of activities for your weekend adventures. Stop in for breakfast or lunch and indulge in the restaurant’s delicious menu, featuring comfort food items such as buttermilk biscuits, Southern sweet cream waffles, or Pioneer taco salad. When you’re finished with your meal, stop by the museum inside the house, which houses mill memorabilia relating back to the hotel’s history, and beautiful stained glass. The Guenther House even has a small store where you can buy mixes for various menu items in their restaurant and souvenirs to take with you. The charming home is the perfect place to spend a Saturday morning!

7.  Jazz Up Your Friday Night

Every Friday the Punta del Cielo offers live jazz music to help you unwind from the workweek. The coffee shop offers a variety of drinks and is sure to please any coffee devotee due to the beans being harvested at high altitudes. The coffee is guaranteed to be fresh and flavorful and pairs perfectly with the jazzy music that they offer to guests live on Friday evenings. If you want a low-key night, look no further than Punta del Cielo, located in the Stone Oak area of San Antonio.

8.  Get a League Together for Top Golf

Are you a lover of the game of golf? 10.  Get Fit and Challenge Your Body!

If you’re struggling with any New Year’s Resolution of weight loss, the Maximized Living’s Premier Health Center is offering an informative and influential training class that can help.
