SAN ANTONIO, TX., January 21, 2015
Keller Williams Heritage Realty in San Antonio, Texas recently announced the 2015 Agent Leadership Council – ALC. KW Heritage ALC members include: Tara Allman, Trent Boarnet, Josh Boggs, Roslyn Casey, Jeanine Claus, Doug Curtis, Robert Elder, Ann Fitzgibbons, Ruth Horace, Deborah Kosierowski, John Ortiz, Andy Mushinski, Susan Shumate, Liza Reyes, Florencio Villalpando, Kathy Walsh, and Josh Weinland.
Unlike traditional real estate companies where company-wide decisions that apply to all office locations nationwide are made from a corporate office, Keller Williams gives decision-making opportunities to the agents that are doing business in each individual office, also known as a market center. The ALC, which operates within every Keller Williams market center, is an active program allowing agents to express themselves and have a strong voice in guiding the policies of the company. Given the KW belief that real estate is a local business driven by individual associates and their presence within their communities, it is vital for the face of the organization, the associates, to have input into the policies of the company.
Each ALC brings market center associates and management together on a monthly basis to direct decisions on how individual market centers operate. Many decisions focus on productivity and profitability. Additionally, ALCs oversee staff training, local marketing, finances and operations using the KW Policies and Guidelines Manual to help guide their market center’s standards and ethics. In essence, The ALC acts as the market center’s “Board of Directors”. Andy Mushinski, a 3 year ALC veteran, believes that this model is extremely beneficial to the Keller Williams Corporation. “The ALC helps maintain a brokerage that is agent centric rather than broker centric. With the focus put on the agents, we are able achieve so much more because everyone is working together.” Mushinski, a 10-year real estate veteran, admits that the draw of having an ALC is one of the reasons he left his former brokerage to join Keller Williams.
ALCs are comprised of top KW agents who know what it takes to succeed in their market and have a desire to see the company grow and prosper. By having the input of top agents, the market center can be strategic in achieving success in all market conditions.
Announced through a meet and greet on January 20th, this year’s Heritage ALC is comprised of many veteran agents, several in the industry for over a decade. Quite a few of these agents have spent multiple years on the ALC. Their combined experience and varieties of strengths lend themselves to the trust and support from the other agents within the market center.
