Keller Williams Realty Is Now #1… And So Is Keller Williams Heritage

In a  recent announcement, Keller Williams Realty revealed the company had pushed past industry giants to become the number one real estate franchise in the United States in agent count, closed units and closed sales volume.

Though Keller Williams Realty has been in business since the early 1980’s, 2017 alone saw the company’s 155,000 U.S. agents close more than 1 million units, generating more than $300 billion in sales revenue.

“This is a historic day for Keller Williams,” said  Craig Owen, team leader of KW San Antonio’s Heritage office. “Being a part of this company has changed the lives of agents in our office as well as agents in offices throughout the country. Personally, I know it has changed mine in a tremendous way.”

And while Owen,  office staff, and associates joined in with other KW market centers across the country for the reveal of the company’s big announcement, KW Heritage had an exciting announcement of their own.

In a video email sent to the over  966 agents who call KW Heritage home, Owen proclaimed the brokerage had become the largest Keller Williams office in agent count and in closed units not only in the US but in the world.

Of the accomplishment, Owen said, “In January 2017, we set out some KW Heritage company goals for our dedicated and hardworking staff members. We wanted to become the largest KW market center by the end of the year- and we knew these key people would help us get there.”

Earlier that year the brokerage became the #1 KW office in terms of closed and written units in the world, and on July 15th, 2017, (five months before the deadline), the second objective was achieved and KW Heritage became the largest real estate brokerage in the entire Keller Williams system.

So what is it that launched this brokerage into the mega-success it has seen? While one could argue it’s the people running the organization, in this case, it’s about the success of the whole organization. And at the center of that success is Keller Williams’s commitment to share its prosperity through profit sharing*, cultivate the company culture, and lead agents and staff members to develop “careers worth having, businesses worth owning, and lives worth living”.

“Part of leadership is to give more than you receive,” says Owen. “Myself, the staff, and the agents at KW Heritage have assisted and served each other in carrying out our company goals- something they don't take lightly. They are excited to see the agent profit share, agent count, and closed transactions continue to grow year over year. But more importantly, they love to feel they've made a positive difference in the lives of our community members: staff, associates, clients, and those we serve.”

*Profit sharing is a program in which market centers share roughly half of their profit each month with the team members who helped realize those gains. The KW Heritage office shared nearly $1 million of the profits from 2017 back to its agents.
