9. Reserve a Table at Your Favorite Restaurant

The Alamo City’s favorite restaurants are joining together for Restaurant Week. This annual event combines tons of the city’s restaurants for a pre-fixed menu for lunch or dinner. “Tier One” restaurants are more of the “fine” cuisine and offer a more expensive menu. With restaurants like Bliss, Boiler House, Bob’s Steak House, Grayze, and more, you’ll have trouble choosing which restaurant you want to partake in. “Tier Two” gives you restaurants like Chris Madrid’s, Paloma Blanca, Smoke, and Nosh. Each tier offers a specific choice in restaurant and menu, meaning that you can enjoy several different meals over the course of the week. 11. Peruse Fine Art

The Southwest School of Art will begin its latest exhibition in association with the MLK march. Entitled One By One, the theme suggests that every single person can play a role in inclusion, enlightening others, and increasing understanding of social issues in our world. All of the artwork relates back to this theme and it will be on display from January 16-19, just in time for MLK Day. Celebrating diversity and inclusion doesn’t happen enough and this is one way that you can help our nation move towards that and support local art at the same time.

12. Play at Confluence Park

Confluence Park has been transformed! Come out and celebrate as this Southside area brings something new to the city. The San Antonio River Foundation and Las Casas are celebrating through the “biggest little orchestra” Pink Martini.
