10 Things to Do in San Antonio This Weekend (Jan. 22-24)

One of the greatest benefits of living in San Antonio is the variety of “things” to see and do. In fact, there are so many San Antonio attractions and events on any given weekend that it can seem overwhelming to choose just one. In this series all pressure is off! Ten fun things to do in San Antonio will be chosen each week to make researching for the next Friday celebration, date night, or family outing a little more simple.

1. Treat Your Taste Buds at Restaurant Week

Some of San Antonio’s greatest restaurants are featured this weekend during Culinaria’s Restaurant Week. Participants may choose from Tier One ($15 lunch/$35 dinner) or Tier Two ($10 lunch/$25 dinner). Each tier features a plethora of restaurants and each restaurant donates a portion of the price to Culinaria and the programs that it supports. Restaurants worth mentioning include Bliss, Biga on the Banks, Kirby’s, Nao, Paloma Blanca, and many more! You have the option to choose which meal sounds best to you! Reservations are encouraged for the event and can be made through specific restaurants. A fixed menu will be in place for the evening and can be found here. What’s not to love about dinner for a good cause?

While it may sound a little odd at first, you’ll get to take in beautiful scenery, and encounter incredible art and interesting conversation. The Joske building has been renovated over the past few years and officially reopened to the public on Monday! Instead of housing one department store, the Joske building is now a part of River Center Mall and includes H&M, Dave and Busters, a quaint little candy shop, and even a Starbucks. The historical architecture of the building remains the same and will forever be viewed as a landmark of Alamo Plaza; however, the building now has some convenient and exciting updates to experience.

An afternoon at Power Swing promises fun for the whole family, team, or an individual who just wants to practice before baseball season begins. You can purchase 16 pitches for only one dollar and 432 pitches are only twenty dollars! If you’re planning a birthday party or an event, you can even reserve a tunnel and a machine in advance.
