The ever-touring, ever-creating super folk band “The Mountain Goats” are gracing the stage at Paper Tiger this month for an intimate show. John Darnielle and his group have quite the reputation of being punk rock, emo, folk, and honestly whatever they feel like while Darnielle commands the room as “Rock’s Best Storyteller” (as proclaimed by Rolling Stone). Grab your tickets here for a night of fun tunes!

When: September 7, 8:00 PM

Where: Paper Tiger, 2410 N Saint Marys St

5. Improve your photography skills

Do you have a camera and want to learn how to break into a new hobby or profession? Victor Watson will be at the Botanical Garden on September 8th showing new photographers how to break out of auto mode on the camera and snap photos that look great and reflect the artistry of the photographer. Register here for the basic photo skills event!

9. Do a fun run in your pajamas

For a lot of us, getting out of pajamas and into workout clothes seems like an impossible task. Well, it seems we have run out of excuses because Project Brave is hosting a “pajama run” at the end of this month! In this run, participants wear their trainers and nightly attire to dash to the finish line. Project Brave is a non-profit designed to teach young children how to recognize and navigate healthy relationships early. Register to run here!
