Because of the diversity of the neighborhoods that make up the community of Woodlake, homes in the community are diverse in age, price, architecture, and style. Primarily made up of medium sized (three or four bedroom) to large (four, five or more bedroom) single-family homes and mobile homes, the average price of a home in Woodlake hovers around $150,000. Many of the residences in Woodlake are newer, built in 2000 or more recently, however, a number of residences were built between 1970 and 1999.
Though amenities vary based on the neighborhood resided in, some neighborhoods offer a clubhouse, pool, children’s play area, covered picnic area with barbecues, and controlled access gates. For a quiet green space, locals head to Lou Kardon Memorial Park on Gibbs Sprawl Road about 3 miles southwest of Woodlake where there are jogging trails, which lack the overcrowding that those of larger parks sometimes possess. A few miles north of Woodlake, Converse City Park has a few more amenities, including two playgrounds, which provide separate areas for toddlers and bigger kids, and baseball fields for informal games.
Residents will attend the Judson Independent School District, offering a comprehensive program of academic, athletic, extra-curricular and gifted student programs.
