CANYON CROSSING

In the far Southwest corner of San Antonio, you’ll find the welcoming community of Canyon Crossing. This circa mid-2000s neighborhood offers affordable homes, plenty of amenities, and a convenient location for military personnel near Lackland Air Force Base and downtown San Antonio. Perfect for many income levels, the median price of a Canyon Crossing home is $135,000, though there are properties in both the high- and low-end of the $100,000s. But budget-friendly doesn’t mean Canyon Crossing skimps on amenities. The community offers its residents a 5-acre park, a 24-acre open-field recreation center, walking and biking trails, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, a horseshoe pit, a large playground and a pavilion on which to picnic, barbecue or host events. Children in the Canyon Crossing area attend schools in the Southwest Independent School District, which includes Southwest Elementary, McNair Middle School and Southwest High School, among others.
