What Is Staging?
Staging is a technique that REALTORS and home sellers use to highlight a home’s strengths, downplay it’s weaknesses, and appeal to the greatest possible pool of prospective buyers. Often times, staging can make the difference between a buyer moving on to the next home, or putting an offer in on the staged home.
When a buyer looks at homes, they want to imagine themselves living in that home. There are many things in an un-staged home that prevent a buyer from doing that: family photos, taste-specific décor, and clutter may all contribute to this. By staging, you are changing all of that and creating a look that allows the buyer to picture their personal belongings in the home while still giving an idea of how furniture and personal items can enhance the home.
