One of the greatest benefits of living in San Antonio is the variety of “things” to see and do. Ten fun things to do in San Antonio will be chosen each week to make researching for the next Friday celebration, date night, or family outing a little more simple.

- 2. Enjoy a Classic Come to Life
Many of us remember the classic children’s book Charlotte’s Web. The sweet story of Wilbur the pig and the extraordinary spider Charlotte bring a smile to children’s and adult’s faces. Come and watch as the Magik Theatre performs Charlotte’s Web and see what being a true friend really means. This heartwarming production will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy all over! If you don’t get a chance to see it this weekend, the play is going on until June 11th, so don’t worry!

- 3. Paint to Mozart
Explore your creative side this Friday night with San Antonio Symphony. The River Walk Plaza will be transformed into a mini-studio for aspiring artists! During the night, people will be painting as a simulcast of the symphony performing Mozart will be playing. The inspirational music and atmosphere should allow the artists to explore and create beautiful pieces. If you don’t want to participate in the painting, come to enjoy the beautiful music and art! There will be a judging of the art contest and awards will be given to the winners.

- 4. Delight Your Sweet Tooth
Bakery Lorraine is one of the most talked about places at The Pearl. The adorable bakery has charm in its atmosphere and flavor in its baked goods. The bakery started when the owners, Jeremy and Anne met while working in Napa, California. Since then, they’ve baked together and moved to San Antonio to open Bakery Lorraine in 2010. The attention to detail and uniqueness to their treats make it a delight to stop in on. If you’re not in the mood for a sweet treat, stop in for breakfast instead! The menu has something to offer for everyone!

- 5. Prance Around The Park With Your Pup
With warmer weather, that means that it’s perfect to take your pup for a stroll. This weekend, don’t just hit your usual park. Panther Springs Dog Park is the perfect social location to bring your dog! Not only is it a small park, but it has fenced areas and play pins for your puppy to roam around and meet new friends! Make sure your puppy is leashed if you do plan on visiting this weekend! Try something new this weekend with your dog and visit the dog park!

- 6. Celebrate Spring Through A Carnival
Retama Park is having their first annual Spring Fest! The event will feature live music, fireworks, racehorse displays, Chihuahua races, pig races, food trucks, and of course, a carnival! This event has so much variety to offer for the entire family! Come stop by for a few hours or make a day out of the event. The best part is that it extends to May 8th so that if you miss this weekend, you can attend the next one! Admission is only $5 per person and children under the age of free get a free ticket in!

- 7. Listen to Smooth Jazz and Unwind
Brazil native Gabriel Santiago is an acoustic and electric guitar player and is known all over the world. While Santiago is well versed in jazz, he is also a great performer. He is playing in San Antonio this weekend at Carmens de la Calle. Unwind with his smooth jazzy music and his expert guitar skills. This artist does not come to San Antonio very often so take advantage of this rare concert. RSVP here and reserve your tickets to ensure that you have a good seat for the show!

- 8. Get Lost in the Jungle
The highly anticipated movie, The Jungle Book is now out in theaters. This film takes the classic children’s story and brings it to life. You’ll find yourself in the world of the jungle with the spectacular special effects and life-like animals that enhance this story. The Palladium IMAX Theater makes the experience even better through 3D. If you haven’t seen a movie recently, get your ticket for The Jungle Book because you won’t be disappointed in this film!

- 9. Cook Up Something New!
Improve your cooking skills this weekend with a Sur La Table cooking class! Learn how to make croissants in the morning class, healthy foods in the afternoon, or book a date night with their “Taste of Italy” class. The bonus is that Sur La Table is currently having a sale on the evening class and the rate is cut in half! The class has a master chef who will walk you through steps in preparing delicious foods. - 10. Take a Night Out at the Ballet
